Michael Jackson died this week. R.I.P (rest in peace). He was an incredibly talented singer and dancer. He began singing with his family when he was 5 years old. He became famous all around the world and was known as “The King of Pop Music”. His music and unique style will always be remembered.

Today is the last day of school and tomorrow we begin our school summer holiday. We have a very long Summer break here in Spain. In England schools don’t finish until the end of July!

So enjoy your holiday but don’t forget to do some homework and of course, practise your English here on the Blog. There are exercises online that you can do to learn and have fun!

This week’s WORKSHOP session at the Castrillón Library is about “Film and Theatre”.

The world of film and theatre is fantastic. It brings us drama, comedy, music and entertainment. Going to the the cinema is a wonderful experience and going to the theatre brings you even closer to the actors and actresses.

We all have our favourite shows and films so write a comment and tell us about your recommendations and experiences.

There is a new film at the cinema called “Coraline”.

It’s a beautiful film about an unusual girl in a strange new house, with some interesting characters.

The story is based on the book by the author Neil Gaiman.
