For many of us, the library is a place that is always there when we need it, for pleasure, for work, for information. We often take it for granted. But there are many remote places around the world where a library is a luxury and some children have never been to a library. Here we can see some examples of mobile libraries that take books to places where libraries do not exist.

If you know of any unusual libraries around the world, send us a comment to tell us.

Thank you to Rasel for sending us a comment with information about a restaurant in Connecticut, USA that includes a library and gives away free books with food.

It’s true even rock stars love to read.

In today’s newspaper I read that Keith Richards, the guitarist of one of the most famous rock groups in the world – THE ROLLING STONES – has always wanted to be … A LIBRARIAN!!!

So there you are, despite the superstar rock image he also has a great passion for literature and he has some very extensive libraries in his mansions around the world. He even tried to install a public library classification system!

So remember whatever you do in your life, there’s always space for books.

There is a new film at the cinema called “Coraline”.

It’s a beautiful film about an unusual girl in a strange new house, with some interesting characters.

The story is based on the book by the author Neil Gaiman.

You can watch a trailer of the film here.

Or you can go to  the Coraline web here. It’s a curious place!
